Nassau County Board of Elections
You can obtain a mail-in voter registration form from the Nassau County Board of Elections by calling 516 571-2411, or you can use this link to obtain a fill-in registration form.  The Nassau County Board of Elections is located at 240 Old Country Road, Fifth Floor, Mineola, NY   11501.
New York State Board of Elections

Information on whether or not you are registered to vote, where your polling place is, and what districts you are in, is available at this New York State Board of Elections website.

Burglar & Fire Alarm Permits

Am I required to obtain burglar and / or fire alarm permits if my home is located in Laurel Hollow?

Laurel Hollow homeowners are required to obtain a Fire Alarm Permit from the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office.  Information can be found at http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/firecomm/firemarshal.html.  Laurel Hollow homeowners are not required to obtain a Burglar alarm Permit, either from the Nassau County Police Department or the Oyster Bay Cove - Laurel Hollow Police Department.

 

 

Elections

When is the Village Election held?

Village Elections are held at the Village Hall on the third Tuesday in June every year.

How can I obtain an Absentee Ballot for a Village Election?

The application for absentee ballots is available below.  The application must be submitted to the Clerk up to four months prior to the village election, but not later than the day before the village election.  The Clerk will mail a ballot to qualified absentee ballots.

How can I obtain an application for Absentee Ballot for a general election?

How can I find out if I am registered to vote and what election districts I am in?

Go to https://voterlookup.elections.state.ny.us/votersearch.aspx for voter information specific to you.
